5.Tracking pixels in our emails

5.1.
Our marketing emails contain a tracking pixel - a small, invisible image file stored on our email provider’s servers. When your email application displays one of our messages it downloads that image, which tells us the message was opened. Some links in our emails also carry a tracking identifier, so we can see which links were clicked. Because the pixel loads each time a message is opened, this happens on every device you use to read our emails.
5.2.
We use this for analytics, campaign optimisation and personalisation: to understand which of our emails are useful, to adjust how often we contact you, and to make what we send more relevant to you.
5.3.
The information processed is whether and when a message was opened, which links were clicked, the date and time, and technical connection data such as your device type and email application. It relates to the email address you gave us when you signed up. Keto Diets, UAB is the controller. Our email service provider processes this information on our behalf and on our instructions and transfers it to the specific region as per cookie tracking notice. Marketing service providers e.g.: Klaviyo are self-certified under the EU-UK, EU-US Data Privacy Framework and these transfers take place on that basis; where the Framework cannot be relied on, they take place under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards in place by writing to [email protected]. We keep the information for 12 months, after which it is deleted.
5.4.
We use the data from tracking pixels only with your consent, which we ask for when you give us your email address. Your consent to tracking is separate from your subscription: you can refuse it, or withdraw it later, and you will continue to receive the same emails from us. You can withdraw this at any time without unsubscribing - use the “Manage tracking preferences” link in the footer of any marketing email. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.
5.5.
Where you have not consented. If you have not given your consent, or have withdrawn it, we instruct our email provider not to record openings. The pixel may still be delivered with the message, but the resulting request is discarded: no opening is recorded, stored, or associated with you.
5.6.
If you withdraw your consent, we will stop measuring your opens and clicks, we will make no further use of pixels in messages we have already sent you, and we will delete the tracking data we hold about you unless we are required to keep it for another reason. Refusing or withdrawing tracking will never limit your access to our services or change which emails you receive.
5.7.
You can also stop the pixel loading at any time by turning off the automatic display of images in your email application.
5.8.
We do not use tracking pixels for marketing measurement in service and security messages - for example account confirmation, password resets, responses to data protection requests, and notices we are legally required to send you.
